Baby Addison was ready to come into our family 2 1/2 weeks early! I was at my routine Dr. appt and my Dr. was a little concerned I was measuring small. She sent me right over to get an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok with the baby. They saw that my amniotic fluid was low and it was time to have the baby. I was by myself at the appt. Eric was at work. I was a little freaked out with the whole thing. I was so worried that the baby was ok and I was just not prepared for her to come on that day, but I am so grateful that she came when she did and was healthy and strong. I called Eric at work and he came right to the hospital. It happened to be the second to last day of school and so I was scrambling to figure out where the kids could go. Since Grandma was down sick, the girls went to my sister Kristi's and Eric's sister Becca's house. They were so nice to drop everything to help us out. After Eric met me at the hospital and I was all situated I sent him home to get the camera! By the time he came back it was time for the epidural. Thank goodness for medicine and great nurses. It took a while for addie to get ready but when she finally dropped she was ready to come. Her heart rate was dropping really low and the nurse was getting concerned. She said we couldn't wait for the Dr. and to start pushing. It only took 2 pushes for her to get here and thank goodness for my excellent nurse who delivered my baby! The Dr got there right after she was born. We were a little surprised to find she only weighed 4lbs 6oz. and was born on May 31st at 7:39 p.m. I was a little nervous to hold her but instantly fell in love with this cute miracle baby. She is such a fighter and is just amazingly perfect. They took her to the NICU for a few hours to make sure she could keep her temp. up. She was doing so well they brought her to me during the night and was with me until we checked out. She is so sweet and very calm natured which is a good thing since she has 3 sister's who love to hold her!
