Last night Sadie had her first piano recital held at the bountiful library. She was a little nervous to play in front of a room full of people but she did such a great job! I am so proud of her and all of the hard work she has put into practicing. She worked so hard to memorize her song and she played it great.
This year for valentines day I wanted to surprise the girls and do something fun. I decided to decorate their doors so when they woke up they would be excited for valentines day. I had fun cutting the hearts out and putting up the crate paper. When the girls woke up they were a little surprised. I had hearts on the floor that led to the kitchen where we had put their little valentine. Then it is our tradition to make pink heart pancakes for breakfast. I think they had a fun morning. I was a little surprised to find a valentine from eric to me. He had to work that morning and I wasn't expecting a fun valentine. He already had given me 2 dozen beautiful red roses the day before! He is the best husband and dad and I am so lucky to have him in my life. The girls think it is so fun that their dad's birthday is on valentines day. All week they were planning out what how they wanted to celebrate him. Sadie and Brinley helped make a cake for him. Sadie was a little disappointed when we didn't have the right number of candles to put on his cake! After the cake it was time to open the presents. Hailey was excited for that. She was tearing the paper off before we new what to do. After presents the kids wanted to go to Kangaroo Zoo. We had lots of fun their and then went out for ice cream. When the celebrating was done we dropped the kids off at their cousins house and me and eric went out to dinner. It was a great night and a fun valentines day!
Sadie, Brinley, Hailey with their cousins Luke and Melissa atKangaroo Zoo. The guys wearing their cool masks in dodgeball! They thought they were so cool! Me in front of the Royal Caribbean Voyager of the Seas ship Me and my mom on the beach Me and Eric on the beach Me, my mom and sisters and a friend at the mayan ruins A Mayan Temple known to resemble King Solomons temple in the Book of Mormon. We just got back from a fun cruise to the Western Caribbean. We went to Cozumell, Honduras, and Costa Maya Mexico. It was a great to have a week away with my adorable husband! We were also with my family. We always have such a fun time together and this was no exception. It was a much needed relaxing vacation. We went on some fun excursions to see the mayan ruins. We were able find an LDS tour guide to walk us through. It was great with the exception of the down pour of rain we had. We had a great time in Honduras, kayaking and snorkeling in the ocean. We also did a little shopping. It was hard to resist the little children that came up to you to sell something. Our last day was a beach day that was so great. We went Jet skiing in the ocean and had so much fun jumping those huge waves. It was nice to get away from the cold weather in Utah for a little fun in the sun! One of the highlights of the trip was when all of the guys played in a dodgeball tournament. They were so into it they bought some Nacho Libre masks. They were Hilarious. It was a great bonding moment! While we were gone Eric's sister Becca and her husband Barrett came and stayed at our house to watch our kids. They had so much fun with them and their little boy Luke. They went out to dinner and Kangaroo Zoo and had alot of fun. Eric's other sister Karen and her family watched Hailey. She loved all the attention they gave her all week! They came up and went to Kangaroo Zoo with Becca and the girls. Hailey was so excited to see Sadie and Brinley. Thanks Karen, Becca and Jamie for helping with the kids, they had a great week!
