Crazy Ice storm!

We woke up to a freezing rain storm and it wasn't a fun start to the day!  It took Eric 2 hours to get to work.  He got there safe but when he walked into work he slipped and fell.  When I was picking the kids up from school I slid down the drive way sideways and almost hit the honda. (which would have been ok since I am trying to convince Eric to get rid of it!) but I was happy I missed it I didn't want to bang up our new car!  The drive way was a sheet of ice and there was no way I was going to slide down again so I decided to just leave it at the bottom of the driveway.  I had to get Brinley to a birthday party, and Sadie to Activity days.  We decided when they were done that we would just hunker down at home. I was done driving on the ice.  I thought I hated driving in the snow but I would take that any day over driving on the ice!  When Eric got home from work he chipped away at the drive way and cleared most of the ice off of it!  The girls had lots of fun ice skating on the sidewalks and sliding down the hill.  Our neighbor's yard looked like an iceskating rink!  Let's just say I am so ready for winter to be over!  I don't think I can handle another storm like today!

Rub a Dub Dub

Addie's new favorite pass time is playing in the tub with her tub toys!  She has figured out how to sit up and play with them/suck on them!  She loves to splash all around but especially loves it when her sister's are in watching her!

My little Rock Star!

Hailey's friend Macy invited her to a fun birthday party.  She came home a rock star!  She loved decorating her guitar and singing in her microphone to her new cd full of awesome rock star music!
She is lucky to have such fun friends!

Cheer Comp

We had our second cheer comp of the season on Saturday.  The girls were a little more anxious about this one because in the past 2 weeks their coaches changed a few things in there routine to make it harder.  Brinley is a flyer on her team and is doing such a great job. She is in her height and Glory being on the team but especially being a flyer.  It is fun to see her so happy and excited to cheer. Sadie is her back spot which I am very grateful for!  She makes sure Brinley is safe!  It is so fun having them on the same team.  They make me proud watching them out on the floor.  Their team did awesome and didn't have any stunts fall.  They competed against 7 teams and took 3rd place.  They were happy to get in the top 3!  Hailey had a sleep over with her cousin Ava while we went to the comp.  I think she had lots more fun with her than at the comp.  Addie came with us and loved it!  She screamed at the top of her lungs( which is her favorite thing to do!) and it was fine because the music was so loud!  Sadie has made some great friends on the team.  One of her favorite friends is Brynn.  Brinley has had lots of fun with her cousin Bridget.  They aren't on the same team but they still have lots of fun together.  Here's to another fun Competition Season!

Snow Day

We got an early morning phone call from the school district telling us that school is closed for the day because of the Huge snow storm we got.  The girls were so excited when we told them no school today!  We got pounded with snow from the storm.  I think we got about 18 inches!  It was the soft powdery snow and the kids were loving it.  Dad had to work but when he got home he got the snow blower out and helped build a big snow hill for them to sled down.  They had such a blast and spent the day outside sledding.  Brinley had her good friend Kennedy come and play.  They had a great day together.  The next day we had our cousin Bridget over to sled with us.  It was a great day!

Addie's new trick!

Addie and Dad have a new trick!  She is really good at balancing on Dad's hand without falling!  She fits right in with all of the AG doll stunting going on at our house!

Happy New Year!

We had a fun party at Lori and Lances house on New Years Eve.  We had lots of yummy food, played games, watched tv, and Lori painted our nails using her new gel stuff!  The girls had fun playing with their cousins.  We made it to about 10:30 and decided to bang pots and pans.  Addie was getting fussy and was ready for her bed so we headed home after they banged their pots and pans.  When we got home the girls went downstairs and slept out in the family room so they could watch the ball drop.  They stayed awake with Dad while Mom and Addie were up in bed! It is always fun to ring in a new year.  As I reflect on 2012 we had a such a great year especially bringing Addison into our family.  We feel so blessed to have her with us and are loving her so much.  We hope 2013 will be just as great.  I'm sure there will be up's and down's but I know we can get through whatever life brings us good or bad.

The next day we went to Soldier Hollow for our annual sledding day.  It was so much fun and there was so much more snow than last year.  Addie was to little so I pulled her around in a little tube and she thought that was pretty fun until she started getting cold!  She spent part of the afternoon in the clubhouse with Dad!  After sledding we went to dinner at the spin cafe!  The food always tastes good after an after noon on the sledding hill!
